Professional Lab PETG Copper / Bronze 1 kg – durable PETG with an attractive copper-bronze effect

Professional Lab PETG Copper is a high-quality PETG filament with a metallic bronze shade, designed for reliable printing of functional components, prototypes, and design models. It combines the classic advantages of PETG – toughness, chemical, and thermal resistance – with an impressive look resembling copper/bronze.

Thanks to its wide printing range and stable diameter, it is suitable for beginners and advanced users, in home workshops, makerspaces, and smaller series production.

    Main advantages and use

    • High toughness and impact resistance – suitable for functional parts that must endure stress.
    • Good thermal resistance – higher resistance than PLA, suitable for parts exposed to commonly elevated temperatures (interior, technical applications).
    • Low shrinkage and warping during printing – ideal for larger objects and precise technical prints.
    • Excellent layer adhesion – strong layer bonds, lower risk of cracking.
    • Metallic bronze appearance – attractive surface for decorations, design models, cosplay, accessories, or presentation prototypes.
    • Universal compatibility – suitable for most FDM/FFF 3D printers with a nozzle for PETG printing.

    Typical applications:

    • functional and technical parts (covers, holders, mounts, fixtures)
    • prototypes and mechanical components
    • design and decorative items with a metallic effect
    • models and accessories for cosplay or props

    Printing properties

Professional Lab PETG is designed to provide stable printing and consistent quality throughout the 1 kg spool.

Recommended print settings (typical range for PETG Professional Lab):

    • Nozzle temperature: approximately 220–245 °C (recommended to start around 235 °C and fine-tune according to the printer)
    • Bed temperature: approx. 70–85 °C depending on the bed type
    • Print speed: approximately 40–60 mm/s for a quality surface with a metallic effect
    • Cooling: low to medium (excessive cooling can degrade layer adhesion)

For best results, it is recommended to print on a clean, degreased bed (glass, textured PEI, glue stick, or special adhesive spray) and protect the filament from excessive moisture by storing it in a sealed container or dry box.

    Appearance and surface

    • Color: copper / bronze (copper, bronze metallic)
    • Surface: slightly glossy metallic effect that highlights the contours of the model and creates a premium look.
    • Particularly suitable for aesthetically demanding projects where attractive design is as important as function.

    PETG material properties

    • Material type: PETG (polyethylene terephthalate glycol)
    • Characteristics:
      • higher toughness than PLA
      • better chemical resistance than PLA (resistance to common chemicals and cleaning agents)
      • lower shrinkage than ABS – easier printing without an enclosed chamber
      • suitable for functional prints and long-term use indoors

    Compatibility

The filament is intended for FDM/FFF 3D printers using PETG and a standard nozzle (brass or hardened). The metallic bronze pigment does not have the character of an abrasive filler like actual metal composites, so a special hardened nozzle is usually not required – nevertheless, regular wear inspection is recommended.
