    Product Description

Prusament PETG Terracotta Light 1kg (NFC) is a premium PETG filament manufactured directly by Prusa Research in the Czech Republic. It combines high mechanical resistance, thermal stability, and very precise winding with an attractive matte light terracotta shade, which is perfect for architectural models, decorations, design accessories, and functional prototypes.

Thanks to low shrinkage and good layer adhesion, PETG is also suitable for larger parts without a printer enclosure – prints warp only minimally and stick well to the bed. Compared to PLA, PETG is more durable, less brittle, and more flexible, so it handles stress and impact better.

This version also includes an NFC tag according to the OpenPrintTag standard, which provides the printer and slicer with information about the filament (material type, color, manufacturing parameters of the spool). This facilitates the correct profile selection and long-term monitoring of filament consumption.

Main Advantages of Prusament PETG Terracotta Light

    • Premium quality from the Czech Republic – complete production and control takes place directly at Prusa Research.
    • Diameter precision of ±0.02 mm – guarantees stable material flow and consistent print results.
    • Low shrinkage and warping – suitable for larger models and technical parts.
    • High toughness and durability – less brittle than PLA, handles impact and bending well.
    • Good temperature resistance – suitable for functional parts in common environments (holders, jigs, interior parts, etc.).
    • Attractive Terracotta Light color – a warm, earthy shade inspired by terracotta, great for decorations and architectural models.
    • Integrated NFC chip (OpenPrintTag) – fast loading of spool data, better material overview, and simpler workflow.

    Recommended Use

Prusament PETG Terracotta Light is ideal for:

    • Functional technical parts – holders, jigs, assembly fixtures, electronics covers
    • Architectural models – buildings, urban units, interior studies
    • Decorations and design accessories – vases (not waterproof without post-processing), statues, interior decorations
    • Prototypes and small series – cases, mechanical components, functional prototypes

Thanks to the combination of toughness, moderate flexibility, and temperature resistance, PETG is suitable where PLA is no longer enough, but extreme resistance of materials like PC/ABS is not required.

    Print Settings (orientational)

Recommended parameters for Prusament PETG on Original Prusa printers and similar FFF/FDM machines:

    Parameter Recommended Value
    Nozzle temperature 250 ± 10 °C
    Bed temperature 80 ± 10 °C
Recommended surface Textured / satin PEI
Cooling Medium (lower than for PLA)
Retraction Slightly higher than for PLA

    Printing tips:

    • PETG has a tendency to string – drying the filament and fine-tuning retraction and nozzle temperature helps.
    • Before printing, check that the print bed is clean, degreased (isopropyl alcohol), and in good condition.
    • For very strong adhesion on smooth surfaces, it is advisable to use a separation layer (e.g., glue stick) to prevent damage to the sheet.

    Quality and Production Tracking

    Prusament PETG is known for:

    • Precise and even winding – minimizes filament tangling.
    • On-line production control – for every spool, you can find the production record and parameters of the specific batch on the Prusament website.
    • Constant color between batches – suitable for long-term projects and repeat production.

The NFC version additionally facilitates material inventory and automation – the printer can automatically recognize the filament type and recommend the correct profile.
