Prusa PLA+ MATT Orange classic 1kg
Prusa PLA+ MATT Orange classic matte PLA+ filament brings a modern look and very easy printing. Thanks to the
rich orange color in a matte finish, the layers are less visible and the surface looks professional, without the significant gloss typical of standard PLA.
This filament is suitable for most desktop FDM 3D printers. The extended nozzle temperature range of
190–210 °C and the recommended bed temperature of
40–60 °C allow for convenient fine-tuning of settings for a perfect surface and details.
Main advantages
- Matte surface – significantly fewer reflections, better hidden layers, professional appearance
- Easy printing – PLA+ prints well even on open printers, suitable for beginners
- Improved mechanical properties compared to standard PLA (higher toughness)
- Stable diameter and good tolerance – reliable passage through the extruder, consistent prints
- Universal use – prototypes, workshop equipment parts, decorations, covers, design models
- Orange "classic" – highly visible, attractive color also suitable for safety signage and highlighting elements
Recommended use
Prusa PLA+ MATT Orange classic is an ideal choice if you are looking for a
combination of easy printing and an elegant matte look:
- design and exhibition models
- electronics covers, organizers, and holders
- prototypes and functional parts with lower mechanical stress
- decorations, logos, inscriptions, and advertising banners in orange color
The matte surface helps hide subtle printing imperfections, making it suitable even for larger surfaces and visible parts.
Printing recommendations
- Nozzle temperature: 190–210 °C (start at e.g. 200 °C and fine-tune according to the result)
- Bed temperature: 40–60 °C (typically 50–60 °C for better adhesion)
- Printing speed: commonly 40–60 mm/s (depending on printer capabilities)
- Print surface: glass, PEI, textured or satin sheet – recommended to clean with isopropyl alcohol
- Fan: 80–100% after the first few layers for better details and bridges
Before printing, make sure the filament is dry and correctly wound. Store it in a dry place, ideally in a sealable bag or box with silica gel, to minimize moisture absorption.
Safety and processing
PLA+ is based on polylactic acid, which is less demanding on ventilation compared to materials like ABS. Nevertheless, it is recommended to print in a well-ventilated room and avoid inhaling fumes or dust from the filament. Printed parts are not intended for direct contact with food or for applications requiring high thermal resistance.
