WORCAM PLA Ivory 1kg
Quality PLA filament in an elegant
ivory shade for universal use in 3D printing. Ideal for
decorations, mock-ups, functional prototypes, and educational models, where you appreciate the neutral, slightly warm tone of the material.
PLA is a popular material for beginners and advanced users thanks to its easy printing, low shrinkage, and very good detail.
Main advantages of WORCAM PLA Ivory filament
- Easy printing without complex tuning – PLA does not require an enclosed chamber or high temperatures.
- Universal use – suitable for models, decorations, promotional items, holders, covers, educational aids, etc.
- Pleasant ivory color – a creamy white shade that masks small printing imperfections better than pure white.
- Good layer adhesion – strong, compact prints with a smooth surface.
- Lower odor during printing than most technical plastics.
- Biodegradable base (PLA) – a gentler choice than classic petrochemical plastics.
Recommended print settings (indicative)
Specific values may vary by printer, hotend, nozzle, and cooling. Take them as a starting point for fine-tuning:
- Material: PLA
- Filament diameter: 1,75 mm
- Nozzle temperature: approx. 190–220 °C (start e.g. at 200 °C)
- Bed temperature: approx. 50–60 °C (on some printers it is possible to print without heating, depending on the surface)
- Print speed: approximately 35–70 mm/s for a quality surface
- Cooling: strong up to 100% after the first layers
For higher speeds or larger parts, we recommend printing a temperature and speed test to fine-tune the best quality/time combination.
Typical use
- Decorations and design accessories – vases, covers, figurines, stands
- Prototyping – packaging parts, product concepts, ergonomic models
- Education – models for schools, universities, 3D printing clubs
- Small practical parts – organizers, hooks, holders, plugs
The neutral ivory color is also suitable as a
base for further processing – sanding, filling, and subsequent painting.
Properties and behavior of PLA material
- Low shrinkage – minimal tendency for warping compared to ABS or PETG.
- Good stiffness – ideal for solid but low-stress parts.
- Lower thermal resistance – not recommended for parts exposed to long-term temperatures above approx. 50–60 °C (e.g. car interior in the sun).
- Easy post-print processing – can be sanded, drilled, glued (e.g. cyanoacrylate), and painted.
Compatibility
WORCAM PLA filament is suitable for
most common FDM/FFF 3D printers with the corresponding filament diameter, for example:
- Creality (Ender, CR series)
- Prusa i3 and other open-source designs
- Anycubic, Artillery, FLSUN, and other desktop printers
Always check that your printer uses
1,75 mm filament and allows PLA printing.
Storage
To maintain
consistent print quality, we recommend:
- storing the spool in a dry place,
- after opening, keep in a resealable bag with silica gel,
- protect from direct sunlight and dust.
This minimizes moisture absorption, which can lead to minor surface defects and string cracking.
Key features:
- Quality PLA filament in an ivory shade for universal use
- Easy printing suitable for beginners and advanced users
- Low shrinkage and stable model dimensions
- Good layer adhesion and smooth print surface
- Neutral, elegant color suitable for decorations and prototypes
- Compatible with most FDM/FFF 3D printers for 1,75 mm filament
