Candour PLA Basic Blue

Candour PLA Basic Blue is a universal PLA filament for reliable everyday printing. The material and color shade correspond to Bambu Lab PLA Basic Blue – it is the same PLA blend from the same manufacturer, just with different branding and on a different spool.

Key differences compared to Bambu Lab filament

• Same material, same color as Bambu Lab PLA Basic Blue – printing parameters can be taken from the Bambu PLA Basic profile.
• Without NFC / RFID chip – the filament is not automatically recognized by AMS/AMS lite, the profile needs to be selected manually.
• Different Candour spool – not compatible as a refill for original Bambu Lab spools.

Material properties

• Material: PLA (polylactic acid) – biodegradable bioplastic.
• Easy printing: PLA Basic is designed to be user-friendly – suitable for beginners and for fast production without complex tuning.
• Smooth surface: Ideal for decorations, figures, covers, holders, prototypes and general interior parts.
• Low shrinkage: Minimal deformation and warping, adheres well to common print surfaces.
• Stable diameter:
  • Filament diameter: 1,75 mm ± 0,03 mm
  • Good extrusion consistency and reliable results even for longer prints.

Recommended print settings

(Settings are based on typical recommendations for Bambu Lab PLA Basic; always fine-tune according to your printer.)

• Nozzle temperature: approx. 190–220 °C
• Bed temperature: approx. 35–60 °C (often printable even with heating off, depending on the surface)
• Print speed: commonly 50–200 mm/s depending on printer capabilities
• Cooling: strong fan for clean bridges and sharp details

When used on Bambu Lab printers, we recommend selecting the Bambu PLA Basic profile in the software and fine-tuning the temperature according to the results if necessary.

Compatibility

• Suitable for most FDM/FFF 3D printers with a filament diameter of 1,75 mm.
• No restriction to a specific brand – just manually select the corresponding PLA profile.
• On Bambu Lab printers in combination with AMS/AMS lite it works without problem, it just will not be automatically identified because the Candour spool does not contain an NFC tag.
