Candour PLA Basic Black 1kg is a universal black PLA filament designed for reliable, fast and trouble-free printing. The material and color pigment are identical to Bambu Lab PLA Basic Black filament – coming from the same manufacturer – so you get the same shade, quality and printing behavior, but on a Candour spool.

PLA Basic is ideal for both beginners and experienced users due to its stability and low setup requirements for those who want consistent results without tedious profile tuning.

Important information about the spool: Candour spools do not have an NFC/RFID tag and cannot be used as Bambu Lab refill spools. The dimensions and construction of the spool are different, therefore they are not compatible with original Bambu Lab refill systems. However, the material itself is the same as Bambu Lab PLA Basic Black.

Main features

• Same material and color as Bambu Lab PLA Basic Black Identical manufacturer, matching composition and pigment – ideal if you want to visually and mechanically continue projects printed from Bambu Lab PLA Basic.
• Easy to print and suitable for beginners PLA Basic is very tolerant of settings, adheres well to the bed and has minimal tendency to warp, making it suitable for first-time printers and school environments.
• Smooth surface and nice matte black The filament creates clean lines and a surface without distinct layers, suitable for design models, functional parts and figurines.
• Biodegradable material The base consists of PLA, a plastic based on renewable resources (e.g. corn starch), which has a smaller ecological footprint than common technical plastics.
• High dimensional accuracy The diameter of 1.75 mm ±0.03 mm ensures uniform material flow, lower risk of nozzle clogging and better repeatability of dimensions of printed parts.
• Universal use Suitable for prototypes, decorations, holders, covers, architectural models, cosplay parts, educational projects and general parts without extreme thermal or mechanical stress.

Recommended printing parameters

Parameters are based on the Bambu Lab PLA Basic Black technical data sheet and are fully applicable to Candour PLA Basic Black:

• Nozzle temperature: approx. 190–230 °C (recommended start 200–210 °C)
• Bed temperature: approx. 35–45 °C (some printers can print on a cold bed with a suitable adhesive agent)
• Recommended printing speed: usually 50–120 mm/s (on well-tuned printers significantly more)
• Filament diameter: 1.75 mm ±0.03 mm
• Bed material: PEI smooth / textured, glass, special adhesive film for PLA

Take these values as a starting point – for the best result, we recommend fine-tuning the nozzle temperature and speed according to the specific printer and model geometry.

Compatibility

• Printer types: all FDM/FFF 3D printers with 1.75 mm filament
• AMS / multi-material systems: usable as a standard 1.75mm PLA filament; however, the Candour spool does not have an RFID/NFC chip – automatic material detection in the Bambu Lab AMS will not work.
