Swapmod: Automated multi-plate printing for BambuLab A1 Mini
Swapmod is an easy-to-install add-on for the BambuLab A1 Mini 3D printer that enables fully automatic printing of multiple plates in sequence. Thanks to the swapmod, your printer can:
• Print multiple plates within a single project
• Combine different project files
• Repeatedly print the same plate
Simply drag and drop G-code (.3mf) files into the “swaplist” app, set the plate order, and start the print queue.
Important notice
Swapmod is an independent accessory developed by swap-systems. It is not an original BambuLab product – the brand is mentioned solely to explain compatibility. In our store, you purchase the add-on only; the printer and build plates must be ordered directly from BambuLab or authorized resellers.
How does it work?
After starting the print queue, the printer:
1. Loads a clean plate from the feeder.
2. Prints the model onto this plate.
3. After the print finishes, automatically ejects the plate and replaces it with a new one.
4. This process repeats until all plates in the list are printed or the stack runs out of plates.
This eliminates the need for manual plate changes, saving time and increasing printing efficiency.
Why use swapmod?
• Convenience – pick up finished prints when it suits you, not immediately after printing completes.
• Larger effective build volume – instead of one print, you utilize the total area of all plates in the stack.
• Efficiency – minimize waste when printing multicolor objects across different plates.
• Reliability – lower risk of failure by distributing objects across multiple plates.
• Scalability – increase throughput while reducing downtime and labor costs.
• Cost-effectiveness – more economical than buying another printer.
