    Third-generation heated chamber

    Large parts without warping.

Active chamber heating up to 65 °C keeps large parts warm for the whole print, so their corners stay down on the plate.

    Chamber heating off

    Chamber heating off

The corner of a large part lifts off the plate during the print.

    Chamber heating on

    Chamber heating on

The same part stays down across its whole footprint.

    Heated bed

Even heat across the whole plate.

A silicone heater covers the entire 390 × 390 mm plate and heats it to 120 °C. Insulation keeps the temperature even, right into the corners.

    QIDI Max4

The temperature is even across the whole plate.

    Typical bed

    Typical bed

Edges and corners stay cooler than the center.

    Layers stacked precisely.

    Z axis

    Layers stacked precisely.

Two independent 2 mm lead screws with anti-backlash nuts move the plate smoothly, so walls stay straight and layers stay regular.

    Performance

    Large volume, high flow.

Closed-loop FOC stepper motors reach speeds of up to 800 mm/s and accelerations of 30,000 mm/s². A hotend with up to 40 mm³/s flow keeps pace on large parts.

    390 × 390 × 340 mm build volume

    390 × 390 × 340 mm build volume

Room for large parts, enclosures or whole batches of smaller models in one print.

    Nozzle up to 370 °C

    Nozzle up to 370 °C

A ceramic throat and a hardened steel bimetal nozzle handle PA, PC and fiber composites up to PPS-CF.

    Construction

A rigid frame for high speed.

CoreXY kinematics with 1.5GT belts and a linear rail keep the printhead precisely on its path.

    X-axis linear rail

    X-axis linear rail

The printhead runs on a linear rail that is stiff and resistant to wear.

    All-metal CoreXY frame

    All-metal CoreXY frame

The metal structure dampens vibration even at full speed.

    Surface quality

Smooth walls even at high speed.

Input shaping and FOC motors suppress the resonance that otherwise leaves fine ripples on walls.

    Typical printer

    Typical printer

Motor resonance leaves fine ripples on the wall.

    QIDI Max4

    QIDI Max4

The same wall printed on the Max4 stays smooth.

    The nozzle is the sensor.

    Nozzle leveling

    The nozzle is the sensor.

A load cell in the hotend measures the plate with the nozzle tip itself, so there is no Z offset to set by hand.

It watches the print for you.

    AI camera

It watches the print for you.

The camera, with up to 1080p resolution, detects tangled filament and pauses the print before material goes to waste. It also records time-lapse videos.

Polar Cooler for PLA in a heated chamber.

    Optional accessory

Polar Cooler for PLA in a heated chamber.

The external QIDI Polar Cooler blows cold air onto the extruder, which, according to the manufacturer, reduces the risk of clogs when printing PLA in a heated chamber. It is sold separately.

    QIDI BOX included

Four colors or materials in one print.

The QIDI BOX holds four spools, switches between them automatically during a print and dries the filament at the same time. Link up to four boxes to print with up to 16 colors.

    Drying while printing

    Drying while printing

The box heats the spools to up to 65 °C and keeps filament dry through long prints in engineering materials.

    Air filtration

Three filter stages for cleaner air.

A G3 pre-filter, an H12 HEPA filter and a coconut shell activated carbon filter capture 99.5% of dust and particles, according to the manufacturer.

    Frequently asked questions

How fast does the Max4 really print?

The printhead moves at up to 800 mm/s with 30,000 mm/s² acceleration. Actual speed depends mainly on nozzle flow; for fast PLA and ABS printing, the manufacturer quotes about 30 mm³/s.

    Is the Polar Cooler included?

No. The QIDI Polar Cooler is an optional accessory sold separately.

Do I need the QIDI BOX for multicolor printing?

Yes. The Max4 on its own prints with one filament. The QIDI BOX adds four spools with automatic switching and drying, and up to four boxes can be linked. The Max4 Combo includes the QIDI BOX.

Which materials can the Max4 print?

PLA, PETG, TPU (95A hardness recommended), ABS, ASA, PA, PC, PPS-CF and carbon or glass fiber filled composites.

    How does the printer connect?

Over 2.4 and 5 GHz Wi-Fi, Ethernet or USB. Prepare prints in QIDI Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer.

    Notes on the data

    1. Speed, acceleration and flow are maximum values stated by the manufacturer. Actual print speed depends on the material and model.
    2. The comparison images and the filtration efficiency are provided by QIDI.
    3. Multicolor printing requires the QIDI BOX, which is included with the Max4 Combo.
    4. The QIDI Polar Cooler is not included.
