igus iglidur i190 is a high-strength tribofilament for FDM/FFF printing of functional components with low friction and high wear resistance. Integrated solid lubricants enable the production of self-lubricating parts without additional lubrication – for example, plain bearings, gears, guide elements, and threaded nuts.

igus iglidur i190 is an engineering filament developed for 3D printing functional components where low friction, long service life, and high mechanical strength are crucial. The material contains integrated solid lubricants, allowing printed parts to operate without additional oil or grease.
With flexural strength of up to 80 MPa, iglidur i190 is suitable not only for prototypes but also for the production of structural and moving parts intended for long-term use. Compared to standard ABS, it offers up to 50× higher wear resistance according to the manufacturer's laboratory tests.
Solid lubricants are evenly integrated directly into the material structure. The sliding properties are therefore not dependent on a surface layer, and no external lubricant is required. This helps reduce maintenance, the accumulation of dirt, and the operating costs of the assembly.
After correct printing and annealing, components can be used continuously at temperatures of up to 90 °C. The material's short-term temperature resistance reaches approximately 110 °C. iglidur i190 is therefore suitable for mechanical applications in which standard printing materials do not provide the required service life.
The filament can be processed on standard FDM/FFF 3D printers with a heated bed; however, a enclosed printer is recommended for a stable result. It is advisable to use an adhesion sheet or an adhesive designed for tribofilaments on the print bed.
The material is highly sensitive to moisture. Therefore, store the spool in a dry, sealed box and actively dry it as needed before printing. Print cooling with a fan is generally switched off or significantly reduced to maintain good layer adhesion.
Warning: The material is not intended for continuous use under water, in very humid environments, or for applications requiring certification for direct contact with food.
