    Frequently asked questions

How many colours can K3 print?

K3 has four spool holders and four nozzles, so it prints four colours or materials without purging. CMYK layering adds more shades, and an extra CFS Hub lets you connect a CFS for more colours.

    Is K3 an enclosed printer?

The optional Top Cover encloses the print chamber. Without it, K3 prints PLA, PETG, PET, PCTG, TPU 95A and carbon or glass fibre PLA and PETG. With the cover, ABS, ASA, PP, PC, PA and their composites are added.

    Which nozzles are included?

K3 ships with four 0.4 mm brass-tipped nozzles. A nozzle kit with 0.2, 0.4, 0.6 and 0.8 mm nozzles will be sold separately, and nozzles made of different materials can be combined.

How fast does K3 change nozzles and colours?

A nozzle change takes 4.8 s and a colour or material change 15 s. Docked nozzles preheat with precise temperature control and the filament is retracted to prevent oozing and stringing.

Can K3 print TPU and soluble supports?

TPU 95A prints right out of the box. Softer TPU 90A and 85A, TPE, PVA and BVOH require the optional Multi-Material Kit.

Which software does K3 work with?

K3 is optimised for Creality Print 7.0 and later, also supports OrcaSlicer and offers root access. Send files over Wi-Fi, from a USB drive or via the Creality Cloud app.

    Notes on the data

    1. Specifications are based on data from the manufacturer Creality.
    2. Savings of up to 80% in print time and up to 85% in filament apply compared with single-channel, single-nozzle printers when printing four colours or fewer, based on Creality Lab data.
    3. Mixing nozzle sizes is configured in Creality Print. The multi-size nozzle kit is sold separately.
    4. Up to 7× the flow rate refers to a maximum of 15 mm³/s for TPU 95A compared with standard consumer 3D printers, based on Creality Lab data.
    5. Printing PVA, TPU 85A and 90A requires the optional Multi-Material Kit.
    6. ABS and other engineering materials require a stable chamber temperature. The Top Cover is sold separately.
    7. Layered colour mixing is not equivalent to precise colour matching and cannot reproduce every shade.

Creality K3 – multi-color printing without lengthy purging

Creality K3 introduces the innovative KliTek™ system with four independent nozzles, allowing it to automatically change colors, materials, and nozzle diameters. Unlike conventional multi-color systems, it does not need to completely purge a shared nozzle with every change. The result is faster printing, cleaner transitions, and significantly lower filament consumption.

    Four nozzles, new possibilities

Each of the four filament channels uses its own nozzle and hotend assembly. Nozzle switching takes only 4.8 seconds, while a complete material or color change takes approximately 15 seconds. Separate material paths also limit unwanted color mixing and reduce the amount of waste generated when cleaning the hotend.

    Creality K3 is ideal for:

    • multi-color decorative models,
    • functional parts combining rigid and flexible components,
    • printing with soluble or easily removable supports,
    • prototyping from multiple materials,
    • small-batch production with an emphasis on productivity.

    Combine different nozzle diameters

The KliTek™ system allows you to switch between nozzles with diameters of 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, and 0.8 mm within a single project. A fine nozzle can print precise outer walls and small details, while a larger nozzle can quickly complete the infill. This provides an excellent balance between surface quality and overall print time.

    Optimized for flexible filaments

The S-Drive™ feeding system and precisely controlled extruder make printing flexible materials easier. In the standard configuration, TPU 95A can be processed, while the appropriate multi-material kit also enables use of softer TPU 90A and TPU 85A variants. This allows you to combine a rigid body, flexible grips, seals, or soft protective elements in a single model.

High speed and precise CoreXY mechanics

The CoreXY kinematics achieve speeds of up to 500 mm/s and acceleration of up to 20 000 mm/s². The rigid frame limits vibrations during fast movements, and the nozzle repositioning accuracy after switching reaches below 25 μm. A network of 37 sensors monitors the printing process and tool changes.

    Intelligent print monitoring

The integrated 720p camera with lighting enables remote monitoring of the print job. Before printing begins, it can check the build area and warn of objects or remnants of a previous model that could cause a collision.

    Wide material support

In the basic configuration, the printer supports materials such as PLA, PETG, PET, PCTG, PLA-CF/GF, PETG-CF/GF, and TPU 95A. The optional top cover expands the range of applications to materials that require a more stable temperature environment, such as ABS, ASA, PC, PP, or PA. Appropriate accessories may be required for soluble supports and softer flexible materials.

    Connected Creality ecosystem

Models can be transferred via USB, Wi-Fi, or Creality Cloud. Creality Print prepares multi-color and multi-material projects, assigns individual nozzles, and optimizes parameters for combining different materials and nozzle diameters. Creality K3 thus offers a modern workflow from model preparation to remote print initiation and monitoring.
