    Product Description

Bambu Lab PETG‑CF Violet Purple is a premium 3D printing filament based on PETG, reinforced with carbon fibers. The new formula significantly reduces typical issues of classic PETG, such as material clumping on the nozzle and excessive stringing, while adding high strength and stiffness combined with a glossy carbon surface.

The filament is supplied on an original 1kg Bambu Lab spool with an integrated RFID chip, which allows Bambu Lab printers and the AMS system to automatically recognize the material and use a verified printing profile. Just insert the spool, select the model, and print – without complex manual setup.

    Main Advantages of PETG‑CF

    • PETG + Carbon Fiber Composite – higher strength and stiffness compared to regular PETG
    • Excellent toughness and flexibility – less prone to cracking upon impact or bending
    • Glossy carbon surface – a combination of fine carbon texture and characteristic PETG gloss
    • Reduced stringing and clumping – modified formula for a cleaner nozzle and more reliable material flow
    • Good thermal and UV resistance – suitable for functional parts and use in demanding environments
    • RFID compatibility with AMS – automatic profile loading on Bambu Lab printers
    • Optimized for high speeds – recommended printing speed up to approx. 200 mm/s (with Bambu Lab profile)

    Typical Use

Bambu Lab PETG‑CF Violet Purple is designed for functional and design applications, where the combination of mechanical properties and appearance is important:

    • structural and functional prototypes
    • parts for RC and racing models, chassis, mounts, arms
    • drone components and electronics covers
    • fastening and machine parts, fixtures, tool holders
    • aesthetic parts with a premium look in Violet Purple shade

    Printing Recommendations (guidelines)

Always start from the official profile in Bambu Studio / Bambu Lab slicer and adapt the settings to the specific printer and model.

    • Nozzle temperature: 240–270 °C
    • Bed temperature (with glue): 65–75 °C
    • Recommended printing speed: up to approx. 200 mm/s
    • Filament dryness: store in a dry place, if damp dry for 8 h at ~65 °C
    • Recommended bed surface: Cool Plate with SuperTack, Smooth PEI, Textured PEI
    • Nozzle: hardened / reinforced steel (0.4 / 0.6 / 0.8 mm) – carbon fibers accelerate wear on brass nozzles

    Material Properties

The values below are based on the Bambu Lab PETG‑CF technical data sheet (approximate laboratory values):

    • Density: approx. 1.25 g/cm³
    • Melt Flow Index (MFI): ~19 g/10 min
    • Tensile Strength: ~35 MPa
    • Flexural Strength: ~70 MPa
    • Flexural Modulus: ~2900 MPa
    • Elongation at Break: ~10 %
    • Impact Strength (Charpy/Izod): ~40 kJ/m²
    • Vicat Softening Temperature: approx. 85 °C
    • Heat Deflection Temperature (HDT): approx. 74 °C

    Color Shade Violet Purple

The Violet Purple shade is a rich purple color with fine carbon fibers, which gives the surface:

    • a fine carbon structure
    • slight reflections due to the PETG gloss
    • a very attractive appearance for visible design parts

    Compatibility

    • Printers: suitable for all common FDM/FFF printers with a hotend capable of working in the range of approx. 270 °C and using an abrasion-resistant nozzle.
    • Bambu Lab: full compatibility with Bambu Lab printers (P1P/P1S/X1/X1C/A1 etc.) and the AMS system including automatic profile setup via RFID.
