Satin MATT PLA Skin / Skin PRINT-ME 1,75 mm 850 g
We process and ship orders immediately during the business day.
PLA filament 1.75 mm is the most universal material for FDM printing technology, suitable even for printing large objects. Thanks to its simple properties, we recommend PLA to all beginners who are starting with 3D printing. Another great advantage is 100% ecological degradability, as PLA is made from renewable resources such as corn starch. PLA material is hard and durable, just like other plastics, but it is not a material suitable for outdoor use, because in such cases it degrades and becomes brittle under UV light.
The material is difficult to sand; during sanding (friction), heat is generated which causes the fibers to "pull" from the print. Therefore, it is recommended to cool the print during manual sanding, for example by sanding under water. For the same reason, it is also difficult to drill holes into the print (again, a problem with heating). It is advisable to first spray the object with a filler (putty used in modeling) and then sand and repaint again and again - until the object is completely smooth and finally spray it with paint.
Superglue with a spray activator (sometimes superglue alone may be enough).
Commonly used nozzles are suitable. You can choose diameters according to the surface fineness you want to achieve or according to the layer thickness settings during printing. Printing temperature: 210 °C. PLA filament requires a heated bed, but for better material adhesion, it is recommended to heat it up to 55 °C. Furthermore, we do not recommend enclosing the printer in an enclosure for PLA filament printing, or leave it open. For high-quality print surfaces, the plastic behind the nozzle needs to be cooled as quickly as possible. We therefore recommend setting the plastic cooling fan on the printer to 100%.
We supply the printing filament vacuum-packed along with a moisture absorber and placed in a cardboard box. The plastic spools on which the filament is wound may differ in embossing or color. We strive to maintain 100% repeatability of the winding and spool color.
