Revo ObXidian High Flow Nozzle 0,4 mm
The
E3D Revo ObXidian High Flow 0,4 mm high-flow nozzle is a top solution for
E3D Revo system users who want to
significantly speed up printing and frequently print
abrasive materials. It combines special tool steel with an
E3DLC™ coating, which ensures extraordinary wear resistance and a
non-stick surface for a cleaner nozzle.
Unlike standard brass nozzles, ObXidian handles long-term printing of
carbon, glass, metal-filled, or glow‑in‑the‑dark filaments without rapid wear. The
High Flow version also features modified internal geometry for higher heat transfer and a
significantly higher volumetric flow rate – ideal for modern high-speed printers.
Main benefits
- High Flow
Special internal channels increase the contact area with the filament and improve heat transfer, so you can print faster without losing quality.
- Extreme abrasion resistance
Tool steel combined with the hard E3DLC™ coating offers resistance several orders of magnitude higher than conventional hardened steel nozzles. Suitable for:
- carbon and glass fibers
- metal-filled materials
- abrasive PETG/ABS/ASA blends
- glow / glow‑in‑the‑dark filaments (at reasonable speeds)
- Cleaner nozzle, less buildup
The non-stick surface reduces the adhesion of molten plastic, so large drops and lumps that spoil the print surface do not form on the tip.
- Part of the Revo system – nozzle + heatbreak in one
Each Revo nozzle is a pre-assembled assembly of nozzle + heatbreak. Replacement is fast, tool-free, and without hot tightening, eliminating the risk of leaks and oozing.
- Easy size identification
The nozzle has the size 0,4 mm engraved on the body and is also supplied with a color-coded silicone sock (red for 0,4 mm), so size confusion is practically impossible.
Compatibility
Revo ObXidian High Flow 0,4 mm is designed for
E3D Revo hotends:
- Revo Hemera / Hemera XS
- Revo Micro
- Revo Six
- Revo Voron
- Revo CR
- Revo Prusa MK3 / Revo Prusa Mini
- Revo Micro LGX
- Revo BIQU H2V2, BIQU Panda Revo
- and other compatible Revo variants
Warning: Revo nozzles are not compatible with classic V6 blocks and other non-Revo hotends.
Typical use
- high-speed printing of technical parts from PETG, ABS, ASA, PA, PC Blend etc.
- frequent printing of composite filaments (CF, GF, metal-filled, glow) without constant nozzle changes
- production printing of multi-hour jobs where flow stability and minimal downtime are key
- upgrade of a standard Revo assembly to a High Flow configuration
Recommendations for use
- Maximum nozzle temperature: up to 300 °C (according to E3D data for High Flow ObXidian)
- When switching to a High Flow nozzle, adjust the slicer profile (higher volumetric flow rate, appropriate acceleration and speeds).
- For extremely abrasive filaments (e.g., some PA with high fiber content or aggressive glow‑in‑the‑dark), monitor the nozzle condition and follow the filament manufacturer's recommendations regarding minimum nozzle diameter.
