Original Prusa CW1 to CW1S platform upgrade

This upgrade allows you to convert your Original Prusa CW1 platform to the removable CW1S platform with a protective FEP sheet. Main benefits include:

• Easier handling of printed models
• Better platform protection thanks to the FEP sheet
• Compatibility with the original CW1 firmware

What the upgrade includes:

• FEP sheet for platform protection
• Two new plastic parts (must be printed on an FDM printer)

Important information:

Firmware: After upgrading the platform, continue using the CW1 firmware. CW1S uses specific firmware due to different heat management.

Printing plastic parts: The required plastic parts can be printed on any Original Prusa FDM printer. If you don’t have access to a 3D printer, you can:

• Find someone with a 3D printer near you via the prusaprinters.org/world community
• Purchase printed parts along with the upgrade kit in the Prusa e-shop

Installation steps:

1. Print or obtain the required plastic parts
2. Install the new plastic components
3. Attach the protective FEP sheet to the platform
4. Perform device calibration according to the manual

• For proper platform seating, you can enable the "Hold the platform" function in the device menu
• Regularly check the condition of the FEP sheet and replace it if damaged
