Nebula PLA Silk in the shade Deep Blue / Sharp Blue is a premium PLA filament with a distinct silk gloss that gives your prints a luxurious and professional look. The satin surface helps to suppress the visibility of individual layers and highlights the details of the model.

This filament is suitable for both hobby use and representative prototypes and design models. Thanks to simple settings and stable behavior during printing, it is also ideal for users who are just starting with 3D printing.

Thanks to the PLA material type, it is suitable for parts with lower mechanical stress and a working temperature of approximately up to 50–60 °C.

Printing settings (orientational recommendation)

Specific values may vary depending on the printer, nozzle, and cooling; we always recommend starting in the middle of the range and fine-tuning based on the print result.

• Filament diameter: 1.75 mm
• Nozzle temperature: approx. 210–230 °C
• Bed temperature: approx. 35–60 °C
• Printing speed: medium (e.g., 40–60 mm/s) for the best gloss and details
• Print bed: glass, PEI, textured sheet – use of an adhesive agent recommended depending on the surface
• Closed chamber: not required

For a beautiful silk surface, it is advisable to:

• reduce printing speed,
• print with sufficient cooling, especially for small details,
• choose rather higher nozzle temperature within the recommended range for better layer fusion.

PLA Silk material properties

• base: PLA (polylactic acid) with modification for silk effect
• very low shrinkage during cooling – less risk of deformation
• bioplastic from renewable resources (corn/plant starch)
• easy-to-print material suitable for most FDM/FFF printers

Note: similar to other silk PLAs, this material is primarily intended for visually attractive models, not for highly mechanically stressed parts.

Storage

To ensure Nebula PLA Silk Sharp Blue maintains its great printing properties and gloss, it is recommended to:

• store the spool dry (ideally with a bag of silica gel),
• protect the material from direct sunlight and higher temperatures,
• during a longer break in printing, store the spool in a sealable bag or box.

This prevents moisture absorption, which can lead to poorer surface quality and more brittle prints.
