Nebula ASA Kevlar Natural 0,8 kg is a technical composite filament based on ASA reinforced with aramid (Kevlar) fibers. It offers excellent resistance to UV radiation, weathering, impacts, and high temperatures, making it ideal for functional, mechanically stressed parts and outdoor use. Thanks to Kevlar, it has a matte surface, is tough, and significantly less brittle than conventional ASA or ABS.

Nebula ASA Kevlar Natural 0,8 kg

Nebula ASA Kevlar is a top-tier composite filament based on ASA, reinforced with aramid (Kevlar) fibers. It combines the UV and weather resistance of ASA with the high toughness and impact resistance of Kevlar. In natural color, it is ideal for technical parts that you will further surface finish or paint.

    Key Features

    • Composite ASA with Kevlar – ASA polymer reinforced with aramid fibers for higher toughness and impact resistance.
    • High UV and weather resistance – suitable for functional parts for outdoor use.
    • Matte, professional surface – Kevlar fibers provide a subtle matte appearance that masks small print imperfections well.
    • Heat resistance – like classic ASA, the material is stable at higher temperatures (approx. up to 90–100 °C depending on part design).
    • Excellent dimensional stability – compared to classic ASA, Kevlar reduces brittleness and increases mechanical resistance while maintaining good stiffness.
    • Ideal for technical and functional prints – brackets, covers, mechanical parts, outdoor accessories, parts for automotive and hobby use.

    Recommended Use

Nebula ASA Kevlar is designed for users who need a combination of durability, toughness, and long lifespan even in demanding conditions:

    • Outdoor parts (brackets, consoles, covers, boxes)
    • Parts exposed to sun, rain, frost, and higher temperatures
    • Mechanically stressed components where brittle failure is undesirable
    • Functional prototypes and small series of parts with an emphasis on durability

    Printing Recommendations

Specific values may vary slightly depending on the printer, environment, and model geometry. Take them as a recommended starting point.

    \n
    • Filament diameter: 1,75 mm
    • Recommended nozzle temperature: approx. 250–270 °C
    • Recommended bed temperature: approx. 90–110 °C
    • Recommended nozzle: hardened steel or other durable material – the composite filler increases abrasion.
    • Enclosed chamber: strongly recommended (limits warping, cracking, and layer delamination).
    • Cooling: rather low, or off, especially for larger parts.
    • Printing speed: medium (approx. 30–60 mm/s) for optimal layer adhesion.

Before printing, it is recommended to thoroughly dry the spool (e.g., 3–4 hours at 60–70 °C) to minimize popping and surface defects caused by moisture.

Advantages of Kevlar reinforcement over regular ASA

    • Increased impact resistance – parts are less brittle and better withstand dynamic loads.
    • Less tendency for brittle fracture – suitable for safety and structural elements.
    • Matte surface – aesthetically pleasing, does not reflect light as much, and hides minor flaws better.

    Summary

Nebula ASA Kevlar Natural 0,8 kg is the ideal choice for more advanced users and professionals who demand reliable, tough, and long-term stable parts from 3D printing for demanding conditions. If classic ASA or ABS is not enough for your durability needs, Kevlar-reinforced ASA is an excellent upgrade.
