Kobra S1 Series Silicone Sock – silicone sock for hotend

The Kobra S1 Series Silicone Sock hotend cover is a practical accessory for Anycubic Kobra S1 3D printers. It protects the heating block and nozzle from melted plastic deposits, improves thermal stability, and simplifies printer maintenance. Thanks to the tight-fitting silicone sleeve, heat transfer to the print and surroundings is reduced, which helps maintain a stable hotend temperature and reduces the risk of filament burning and the formation of unsightly deposits on the nozzle.
Silicone socks are a consumable part – after mechanical damage or excessive contamination, it is advisable to simply replace them with a new one.

    Main Advantages

    • Designed for Anycubic Kobra S1 The shape is designed for the hotend heating block used in the Kobra S1 series – ensuring a good fit and coverage of critical parts.
    • Better Thermal Stability Silicone acts as thermal insulation around the hotend, helping to maintain a uniform temperature and increasing print consistency, especially for longer jobs.
    • Protection Against Filament Deposits Minimizes the adhesion of melted plastic to the block and the upper part of the nozzle. In case of minor leaks, filament often ends up in the sock instead of directly on the heating block, making cleaning easier.
    • Cleaner Nozzle and Easier Maintenance By covering the hotend block, the nozzle and surroundings stay cleaner. The sock can be easily removed, cleaned, or replaced.
    • Durable Silicone Material Made of temperature-resistant silicone (typically up to approx. 260–270 °C – according to the specific manufacturer), suitable for common printing materials such as PLA, PETG, ABS, or ASA.
    • Reduction of Charring and Odor By limiting the contact of melted plastic with the hot metal block, the risk of charred residues and unwanted odors during long printing is reduced.
    • Multi-piece Packaging Silicone socks wear out over time – the package usually contains multiple pieces, so you always have spare parts at hand.

    Recommended Use

    • For everyday printing on Anycubic Kobra S1 (and related models of the S1 series, if the manufacturer specifies it as compatible).
    • Especially suitable when printing at higher temperatures (ABS, ASA, PETG), where thermal insulation of the hotend is important.
    • Recommended as a spare part in case of damage or significant contamination of the original silicone sock.

    Installation

    1. Turn off the printer and let the hotend cool down.
    2. Remove the old or damaged silicone sock from the hotend.
    3. Slide the new silicone sock over the heating block so that the nozzle hole aligns exactly with the nozzle and other cutouts correspond to cables and mountings.
    4. Check that the sock does not press on the nozzle and does not interfere with the filament path or fans.
    5. After a short test print job, verify that everything stays in place and there is no contact with the print.
