igus igumid P150-PF is a professional technical filament reinforced with carbon fibers, developed for producing strong, rigid, and lightweight parts. Thanks to its flexural strength of 87 MPa and flexural modulus of approximately 4 700 MPa, it enables the printing of functional components with high mechanical stability while using material efficiently.
The filament is suitable for brackets, frames, levers, covers, mounting elements, and other structural components where low weight, rigidity, and resistance to deformation are important.
igumid P150 was also developed as a structural partner for igus iglidur i150. Multi-material printing makes it possible to create a single part combining a strong load-bearing body made of P150 with sliding or friction surfaces optimized using iglidur i150 filament.
This combination is suitable, for example, for:
Printed parts can be used continuously at temperatures up to 100 °C and for short periods at temperatures up to 125 °C. The material is therefore also suitable for technical applications where standard filaments may not provide sufficient dimensional and mechanical stability.
Carbon fibers are abrasive, so it is necessary to use a hardened or otherwise wear-resistant nozzle. A wear-resistant extruder feeding mechanism is also recommended. For reliable first-layer adhesion, an adhesive intended for igus technical filaments can be used.
The filament is suitable for FDM/FFF printers capable of processing third-party materials. To achieve reliable results, the recommendations of the printer and nozzle manufacturers must be taken into account.
Notice: Due to the abrasive filler, do not use a standard brass nozzle. A hardened steel or other wear-resistant nozzle is recommended.
