igus iglidur i150 is an easy-to-process tribofilament developed for 3D printing moving and sliding components. Integrated solid lubricants reduce friction and help limit wear, making the material ideal for producing plain bearings, guides, gears, rollers, grippers and replacement parts.
Compared to standard filaments such as PLA or PETG, iglidur i150 offers significantly better properties in applications involving repeated movement. It enables the rapid production of prototypes, small batches and dimensionally specific parts without machining or mold production.
iglidur i150 is among the easiest-to-print igus tribofilaments. It can be processed on standard FDM/FFF printers that allow the appropriate nozzle temperature to be set. Printing is also possible without a heated bed; in this case, however, a suitable adhesion film or another manufacturer-recommended means of increasing adhesion must be used.
To achieve optimal results, the manufacturer recommends printing at approximately 250 °C, a bed temperature in the range of 20–60 °C, a speed of around 50 mm/s and model cooling switched off. Always adapt the specific settings to the printer, part geometry and bed surface used.
The recommended maximum long-term operating temperature of printed parts is 65 °C. The material is primarily intended for low to medium sliding speeds; for highly dynamic applications or higher operating temperatures, a more specialized material should be selected.
Notice: Compliance for food contact under EU Regulation 10/2011 applies to the white iglidur i150 variant. This black variant is not declared by the manufacturer as a material for food contact.
