Professional multicolor and multimaterial 3D printing

Flashforge Creator 5 Pro takes desktop FDM printing to the level of efficient production and professional prototyping. The FlashSwap system with four independent print heads allows each head to be assigned a different color or material. The printer automatically switches between them during a job without having to purge a single shared nozzle with every change.

The result is faster multicolor printing, significantly lower filament consumption, and the ability to combine different material properties in a single model. Creator 5 Pro is suitable for functional prototypes, soluble supports, color presentation models, jigs, and low-volume production.

Four independent FlashSwap heads

Each of the four print heads works with its own filament, while unused heads remain parked in docking positions. All heads have access to the entire 256 × 256 × 256 mm build area. This solution reduces purging waste and shortens delays when changing colors or materials.

The system also supports combining structural and support filaments. For example, you can print a model from an engineering material together with soluble PVA or BVOH supports.

CoreXY design for fast and precise movement

The rigid enclosed construction and CoreXY kinematics provide a stable foundation for fast printing. The maximum print speed reaches 300 mm/s, travel speed reaches up to 600 mm/s, and acceleration reaches up to 30 000 mm/s². Automatic motion compensation and dynamic flow calibration help maintain clean edges and consistent model surfaces.

Actively heated chamber up to 65 °C

The enclosed chamber with active heating up to 65 °C maintains a stable environment around the print. It reduces sudden temperature changes, warping, cracking, and corner lifting, which is especially important when working with ABS, ASA, PA, and engineering composites.

Auxiliary cooling and controlled air circulation can be used for PLA, PETG, or TPU. The printer is therefore ready for both standard filaments and demanding engineering materials.

Temperatures for engineering and composite filaments

The print heads reach temperatures of up to 320 °C and are equipped with hardened steel nozzles. The heated bed operates at up to 120 °C. Creator 5 Pro supports a wide range of materials, including PLA, PETG, TPU, ABS, ASA, HIPS, PVA, BVOH, and selected filaments reinforced with carbon or glass fibers.

0,4 mm diameter nozzles are installed as standard. Interchangeable 0,25, 0,6, and 0,8 mm variants are also supported for fine details or faster production of larger parts.

Automatic calibration of four print heads

Creator 5 Pro automates key print preparation steps. It offers automatic bed leveling, calibration of the relative offsets of the print heads, dynamic flow calibration, and Auto PA. The individual tools can therefore align precisely and create multicolor or multimaterial models with clean transitions.

The textured flexible steel sheet with a PEI surface ensures good first-layer adhesion and allows the finished model to be removed easily after cooling.

Air filtration and enclosed workspace

The filtration system combines a HEPA H13 filter and activated carbon. It helps capture fine particles and reduce odors generated when printing selected engineering materials. The printer also monitors whether the front door and top cover are open.

Camera and remote management

The integrated camera with a resolution of 1280 × 720 px at 30 frames per second enables remote monitoring of the printing process. Connectivity via dual-band 2,4/5 GHz Wi-Fi or USB makes it easy to send jobs and manage multiple printers.

Models can be prepared in Orca-Flashforge and OrcaSlicer, which support configuring multiple heads, colors, and materials within a single print job.
