Original ELEGOO extruder gearbox assembly designed for the OrangeStorm Giga 3D printer. It ensures precise filament feeding into the hotend and serves as a direct replacement for a damaged or worn mechanism.
ELEGOO Gearbox Assembly is an original replacement gearbox assembly for the feeding mechanism of the print head of the ELEGOO OrangeStorm Giga 3D printer. It transfers the power of the extruder motor to the feeding mechanism, which moves the filament towards the hotend.
The part is suitable in cases of irregular material feeding, filament slipping, gear skipping, or mechanical damage to the original gearbox. Its precise design facilitates installation in the original position without the need for structural modifications to the printer.
A properly functioning gearbox is especially important during long large-format prints, where even a brief extrusion failure can ruin a print lasting several hours or several days. Replacing the worn mechanism helps restore:
Replacement may be advisable if the extruder clicks during printing, the filament does not move smoothly, the mechanism abrades the material, or the gears or assembly cover are physically damaged. Before replacement, we also recommend checking the nozzle for blockages and verifying the extruder's correct pressure setting.
The assembly is designed exclusively for the ELEGOO OrangeStorm Giga and corresponds to the original part marked 20.206.0036. The gearbox is installed between the extruder motor and the adjoining part of the print head. The extruder motor is not included in this assembly.
Before installation, the printer must be switched off and disconnected from the power supply. Replacement requires partial disassembly of the print head; 1.5 mm, 2.0 mm, and 2.5 mm hex keys are mainly used. We recommend that installation be carried out by experienced users or service technicians.
