Multicolor printing with the original Centauri Carbon printer

Transform your ELEGOO Centauri Carbon into a versatile multicolor 3D printer. ELEGOO CANVAS automatically handles up to four filaments and enables you to create colorful models within a single printing process without manually changing the material.

Four independently controlled feeding motors ensure reliable handling of individual filaments. Optimized and shortened feeding paths also speed up color changes and help maintain smooth printing.

Automatic RFID filament identification

When using compatible ELEGOO filaments with an RFID tag, the system automatically recognizes the material type and color. The printer then applies the recommended settings, eliminating some of the manual configuration and making preparation of a multicolor project easier.

Automatic continuation from a replacement spool

You can load the same material into multiple channels and activate the automatic refill function. When one spool is used up, CANVAS continues with another prepared spool. This is especially useful for long prints, where running out of filament would otherwise result in an unnecessary interruption.

Tangle detection and controlled winding

The system monitors the filament path and pauses printing if a tangle is detected. Improved spool holders also keep unused filament under tension and wind it back, reducing the risk of tangling, feeding errors, and material waste.

Wide material compatibility

CANVAS works with 1,75 mm diameter filament and supports common materials such as PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA, and PC. Other compatible materials can also be used depending on the printer settings, specific spool, and printing profile.

Important compatibility notice

This version of the CANVAS system is intended exclusively for the original ELEGOO Centauri Carbon printer. It is not compatible with Centauri Carbon 2 or Centauri 2 printers, which use a different version of the CANVAS system. Installation is a hardware upgrade to the printer and requires following the supplied instructions.
