Why this plate

The double-sided H1H plate combines two distinct surface textures: Light Beam creates striking iridescent "rainbow" stripes on the first layer, while Phantom transfers a subtle holographic pattern with shifting gloss. The effect is perfect for decorative parts, labels, packaging, or gift items.

Bambu Lab setting tips

• For X1 series printers, disable "Enable detection of build plate position" in the menu, otherwise adhesion may be impaired.
• Effect surfaces can interfere with LIDAR calibration – perform calibration with a regular plate or skip it.
• Recommended bed temperatures (approximate): PLA 60–65 °C, TPU 35–45 °C; in Bambu Studio select plate type Smooth PEI/High Temp. Further adjust settings according to the filament and part shape.

How the holographic effect works

The surfaces use a fine "diffraction" structure. The extruded plastic fills the microscopic grooves and the resulting pattern refracts light into a rainbow – which is why the effect is most visible at the correct light incidence and viewing angle.

Recommendations for use and maintenance

• If you want the effect to transfer directly to the model and last, do not use glue (glue stick) – the pattern would form in the glue and disappear after washing.
• Keep the surface clean, wash with warm water and a small amount of detergent, avoid touching with greasy fingers.

Note: The plate is intended for a magnetic bed compatible with Bambu Lab. The effect is most prominent with silk/glossy PLA materials; it may be subtler with other materials.
