Why have a honeycomb panel for the Creality Falcon laser

Using a laser engraver without a honeycomb mat significantly increases the risk of:

• damage to the table or base by beam penetration,
• burns and leaving scorched marks on the back of the cut,
• accumulation of smoke and soot under the material,
• ignition of small scraps or dust.

Recommendations for use

• Place the panel on a flat, non-flammable base and place the supplied aluminum plate underneath it.
• When cutting wood or paper, always use air assist and suitable smoke extraction.
• After work, vacuum or blow out the honeycomb from below with compressed air and remove burnt residues.
• Strong magnets can be used to hold thin materials, but never place magnets in the path of the laser beam itself.
