The Cherry Blossom Dragon, known in distant eastern lands as Sakura no Ryū, is a symbol of spring, fleeting beauty, and renewal. According to ancient scrolls, this species was born from a thousand-year-old cherry tree that grew atop Mount Fuji. When it first bloomed in spring under the glow of a pink supermoon, its blossoms did not fall to the ground but, swept up by a gust of magical wind, joined together and rose to the sky, where they formed the first dragon. These dragons are elusive and appear only for a few short weeks each year when the cherry trees bloom. Their presence is considered a blessing that brings a bountiful harvest, good fortune, and peace of mind.

The body of this adult dragon is incredibly elegant, with delicate scales reminiscent of sakura petals. Growths resembling the gnarled branches of ancient cherry trees sprout from its head, and a crest of stylized blossoms runs along the length of its back.

The model is flexible at all joints. It can be used as a decoration, a stress-relief aid, or—thanks to the variety of colors and types—as a collectible piece.
