MQTT gateway designed for
Bambu Lab 3D printers, which facilitates communication between the printer and multiple peripheral devices in the local network. It functions as a simple bridge between the printer and MQTT clients and is designed for easy commissioning within minutes.
Simply power the Panda Bifrost from USB, connect to Wi‑Fi, and pair with your Bambu Lab printer. It then allows you to connect up to 20 MQTT devices simultaneously.

Assembly – Printed Cover (Shell)
Panda Bifrost is designed to be installed in a
printed cover, which you can easily print on a 3D printer.
- Printing the Cover
- Recommended layer height: 0.15 mm
- No supports (the model is designed not to need them)
- Installing the PCB into the Bottom Part
- Insert the Panda Bifrost PCBA into the bottom part of the cover
- Ensure correct orientation of the board according to the cutouts and connectors
- Snapping on the Top Cover
- Place the top lid and align the "BQ" logo
- Push lightly until it fits and clicks – the cover is then closed
Initial Connection and Setup
- Power On and Hotspot
After connecting the power, the device creates a Wi‑Fi hotspot:

- Connect to this Wi‑Fi using a mobile phone or PC
- Opening the Web Interface
- In your browser, open the address:
http://192.168.254.1/
- Choose the interface language
- Select your Wi‑Fi network, enter the password, and click Connect
After successful connection, Panda Bifrost is available on the local network and you can proceed with pairing with the printer.
Binding a Bambu Lab Printer
- In the Panda Bifrost interface, click on Scan.
- Enter the printer access code.
- Click Connect to pair.
Once completed, the Bambu Lab printer is bound to Panda Bifrost and can communicate with other devices through it.
Binding Other Panda Devices (e.g., Panda Touch)
Once the printer is successfully bound, Panda Bifrost will start broadcasting the following identity on the local network:

To bind other Panda devices:
- In the Panda Bifrost web interface, click on Scan.
- Select "PandaBifrost" from the list.
- Enter the printer access code.
- Click Bind.
After this step, other Panda devices can be connected through Panda Bifrost to the Bambu Lab printer.
Limitations and Known Usage Restrictions
When using Panda Bifrost in combination with
Panda Touch and other devices, the following limitations apply:
- Cloud mode is not supported.
- It is not possible to view files on the SD card of the printer through the connected device.
- It is not possible to start print jobs from a USB flash drive via Panda Bifrost.
The maximum number of simultaneously connected clients (devices) is
up to 20.
