BIQU CryoGrip Pro Frostbite is a premium double‑sided magnetic build plate for Prusa MK4, MK4S, MK3/MK3S and Core One/Core One+ printers with a size of 250 × 210 mm. Thanks to the coarse Frostbite surface, it offers extreme adhesion especially for PLA and PETG, even at lower bed temperatures. The seven‑layer spring steel construction with a ferromagnetic base ensures long service life, flatness, and convenient print removal by simply flexing the sheet. Ideal for large, warp‑prone parts without the need for glues or sprays.

BIQU CryoGrip Pro Frostbite for Prusa MK4/MK4S/MK3/MK3S/Core One

The premium magnetic build plate BIQU CryoGrip Pro Frostbite is designed exactly for the 250 × 210 mm format, so it fits perfectly on Prusa MK4, MK4S, MK3/MK3S and Core One/Core One+ printers. It combines extreme adhesion for PLA and PETG with easy print removal thanks to the spring steel.

Key benefits for Prusa and Core One users

    • Extreme adhesion for PLA and PETG – the special coarse Frostbite (coarse texture) surface provides maximum grip (BIQU rates it 10/10), so parts hold even at lower bed temperatures.
    • Reliable printing of large models – minimizes corner lifting and warping of prints, ideal for long and large‑volume parts.
    • Easy print removal – the plate is made from spring steel; after cooling it is enough to flex the sheet and the print releases by itself.
    • 7‑layer composite construction – durable surface finish, strong magnetic adhesion and long life even with frequent bending.
    • Direct compatibility with the Prusa / Core One magnetic heatbed – the 250 × 210 mm size is intended specifically for these models, with no modification needed.

Which materials Frostbite is ideal for

The Frostbite surface is optimized primarily for:

    • PLA – recommended bed temperatures approx. 30–50 °C
    • PETG – recommended bed temperatures approx. 50–70 °C

At these temperatures, adhesion is very high, but once cooled, prints release easily. The surface is designed mainly for PLA/PETG; for a broader range of engineering materials (ABS, PA, etc.) the CryoGrip Pro Glacier variant is more suitable.

Plate construction – 7 layers for maximum performance

The CryoGrip Pro build plate is made from a multilayer composite:

    1. Base spring steel (spring steel, ~580 HV, ferromagnetic) – provides high hardness, dimensional stability and strong holding force on the magnetic base.
    2. Adhesive primer layers – a special binder between the steel and the functional surface that prevents the coating from peeling even after hundreds of flexing cycles.
    3. Intermediate layers resistant to corrosion and impacts – protect the steel from moisture and mechanical damage.
    4. Top functional Frostbite layer – coarse, rough texture for maximum adhesion and an ideal surface structure on the bottom of prints.

Overall, you get a build plate that withstands frequent heat‑up/cool‑down cycles, bending and mechanical stress without losing its properties.

    Surface, appearance and plate orientation

    • Surface type: Frostbite – coarse / rough texture (highly textured surface).
    • Color: typically blue (may vary depending on production batch).
    • The surface creates a pronounced, anti‑slip texture on the bottom side of the model, suitable for functional parts and mechanical components.

    Maintenance and cleaning

For long life and consistent adhesion we recommend:

    • Cleaning with only water and mild detergent (e.g. dish soap) and a soft sponge or cloth.
    • Do not use aggressive solvents or scouring pads – they could damage the top layer.
    • Always rinse and dry thoroughly after cleaning.

    Installation tips

    1. Make sure the printer’s magnetic base is clean and free of unevenness.
    2. Place the CryoGrip Pro Frostbite on the bed – the magnetic force will snap it into position.
    3. Perform a new first‑layer / Z‑offset calibration, as the sheet thickness and surface may differ from the original build plate.
    4. For PLA, start with recommended bed temperatures of about 35–45 °C; for PETG use 60–70 °C and fine‑tune as needed for the specific filament.

Who this build plate is ideal for

    • Users of Prusa MK4/MK4S/MK3/MK3S/Core One who mostly print PLA and PETG.
    • Printers who often experience corner lifting or struggle with warping on large parts.
    • Those who want to minimize the use of glues, sticks and sprays and have stable adhesion straight out of the box.

    Summary
