Bambu Lab PLA Tough+ White 1 kg is a high-durability next-generation PLA filament that combines the printing simplicity of classic PLA with toughness approaching ABS. Thanks to its improved formula, it offers approx. 20% higher toughness and strength compared to regular PLA and up to double the bond strength between layers. This makes it an ideal choice for functional parts that must withstand impacts, twisting, or repeated bending.

The filament is designed for high-speed printing on Bambu Lab printers as well as other FDM printers with a filament diameter of 1.75 mm. It comes on a high-quality spool with an integrated RFID chip for Bambu Lab printers (AMS system), which facilitates automatic material detection and optimal profiles.

Recommended Print Settings

Specific values may vary slightly depending on the printer, nozzle, and desired result. The following parameters are based on the manufacturer's recommendations for PLA Tough+.

• Nozzle temperature: approx. 210–230 °C
• Bed temperature: approx. 35–45 °C
• Print speed: typically 80–200 mm/s (on Bambu Lab printers even significantly more depending on the profile)
• Cooling: high (80–100%) after the first layers
• Print bed: textured PEI, smooth PEI, or glue stick for better adhesion works well

Use of Bambu Lab PLA Tough+ White

Thanks to the combination of toughness, strength, and ease of printing, this filament is suitable wherever classic PLA is already at the limit of its capabilities, but you do not want to switch to more demanding materials (ABS, ASA, PC, etc.).
