Bambu Lab PLA Tough+ Silver 1kg is an enhanced PLA intended for functional and technical parts exposed to impacts, vibrations, and repeated bending. The material combines the simple processing of PLA with significantly higher toughness and impact resistance, at or above the level of common ABS.

PLA Tough+ achieves significantly better adhesion between layers than standard PLA, making it ideal for brackets, covers, tools, RC parts, and other components that must not crack at the layer interface. The silver shade gives the prints a professional technical appearance.

The filament is supplied on an original Bambu Lab spool and is fully compatible with the Bambu AMS / AMS lite system – the spool contains an RFID chip with stored printing parameters, so the printer automatically recognizes the filament and sets the optimal profile.

Printing Recommendations

The specific profile for Bambu Lab printers is stored directly in the spool (RFID). For other FDM printers, it is typically recommended:

• Nozzle temperature: approx. 210–230 °C (depending on the printer and printing speed)
• Bed temperature: approx. 35–45 °C
• Printing speed: standard PLA speeds, can also be printed at higher speeds
• Cooling: fan on, as for regular PLA
• Bed: PEI, glass, or other surface with suitable adhesion for PLA

Thanks to the high layer cohesion of PLA Tough+, it is easier to use dedicated supports (e.g., Bambu Support for PLA / PLA-PETG), which simplify support removal and improve the surface.
