Bambu Lab A2L expands the popular A‑series with extra-large printing space and features that were previously reserved for more expensive models. The open
bed slinger design (table movement in the Y axis, head in the X axis) offers a build volume of
330 × 320 × 325 mm, making it easy to print large decorations, cosplay parts, prototypes, or multiple smaller models at once.
A2L maintains the typical user-friendly Bambu Lab ecosystem –
fully automatic calibrations, intelligent vibration control, and readiness for
multi‑material / multi‑color printing via AMS and AMS Lite. Additionally, the printer can be expanded with a
cutter/plotter module, which allows you to process paper, foils, or thin sheets similar to hobby cutting plotters.
Key features
- Large build volume 330 × 320 × 325 mm
Ideal for large models in one piece – helmets, armor, decorations, functional parts, or product prototypes.
- Bed slinger kinematics (A‑series)
Proven architecture with table movement in the Y axis and head in the X axis, optimized for fast and precise printing.
- Max. nozzle temperature 300 °C
Allows printing from a wide range of materials: PLA, PETG, TPU, ABS/PETG‑based technical materials, and other compatible filaments within the Bambu ecosystem.
- Heated bed up to 80 °C
Stable adhesion for common and more demanding materials, suitable for long print jobs and full utilization of the large format.
- Support for up to 19 filaments at once
By connecting up to 4× AMS and 1× AMS Lite, you get the possibility of printing in many colors or combining materials in one model – ideal for decorative objects, functional prototypes, or small series production.
- Possibility of use as a plotter/cutter
With an optional expansion module, the A2L can also be used for drawing and cutting (e.g., stickers, stencils, paper, thin foils) – a versatile tool for crafting and home workshops.
- Automatic calibration and vibration reduction
Integrated adaptive vibration suppression and granular dampers help reduce ringing and improve surface quality even at higher speeds.
- Easy control and Bambu ecosystem
Control via touch interface, Bambu Studio / Bambu Handy, cloud functions, and ready-made filament profiles make starting easier even for less experienced users.
Detailed description
Large volume, compact body
The printer offers
105% more build volume compared to standard 256mm Bambu Lab machines, while maintaining relatively compact dimensions for a home workshop. For full movement in the Y axis, it is necessary to leave space behind the printer for the moving table, which is typical for large bed slinger designs.
Multi‑material and multi‑color printing
A2L natively supports working with
AMS and
AMS Lite, so you can:
- print with multiple colors in one model,
- combine different materials (e.g., rigid and flexible parts),
- automatically switch between spools during longer jobs.
For creators of cosplay props, decorations, and design objects, multi‑color printing is a great simplification – eliminating additional manual painting of all details.
Printing precision and stability
In addition to the rigid construction, A2L relies on advanced motion control algorithms:
- adaptive vibration compensation to reduce ghosting,
- granular dampers in the Y-axis chassis to smooth movement,
- automatic first layer adjustment and travel calibration.
The result is clean printing even for larger models, where any mechanical inaccuracy is much more noticeable than with small machines.
Creative “playground” for hobbyists and semi-professionals
Bambu Lab A2L is designed as a
universal creative platform:
- for home workshops and hobbies – decorations, organizers, models, RC parts,
- for cosplay and prop‑making – helmets, armor, large 1:1 scale parts,
- for designers and small entrepreneurs – functional prototypes, small-batch production of parts,
- for schools and makerspaces – large projects, educational models, multi‑material applications.
The possibility to expand the printer with a
cutting/drawing module further increases its value as a universal tool for creative projects.
