Filament for 3D printing – PET-G material
PETG Polyethylene terephthalate is a thermoplastic for 3D printing very similar to the well-known PET plastic, which you know well from PET bottles. PETG resists acids and solvents. Also interesting is the excellent thermal resistance compared to PLA.
PETG maintains its mechanical properties at a high temperature of 100 °C. However, PETG is also resistant to negative temperatures, so prints can also be used in the frost.
PETG is not toxic and is health-safe.
Main properties of PETG
- Better impact resistance and durability than PLA
- Greater temperature and heat resistance than PLA
- Health-safe
- Easier to print compared to ABS
