QIDI PET-CF is a technical PET filament reinforced with carbon fibers. It offers high strength, stiffness, dimensional stability, and low warping tendency, making it ideal for functional and mechanically stressed parts. Use a hardened steel nozzle or one made of a more wear-resistant material for printing.

QIDI PET-CF combines the technical polymer PET with 15% short carbon fibers. The result is a strong and exceptionally stiff material with high dimensional stability, good chemical resistance, and resistance to long-term mechanical loads.
Compared to standard PETG, it offers higher stiffness, strength, and wear resistance. Low shrinkage and a limited tendency to warp help maintain precise geometry even in larger technical models.
QIDI PET-CF is particularly suitable for:
Carbon reinforcement reduces internal material stresses and improves the dimensional stability of prints. The filament has a low tendency to warp and, with the correct settings, enables sharp details and precisely fitting mechanical components to be printed. A heated chamber is not required, but the manufacturer recommends an enclosed 3D printer.
| Parameter | Recommended value |
|---|---|
| Nozzle temperature | 280–320 °C |
| Build plate temperature | 80 °C with an adhesive agent |
| Printing speed | 40–200 mm/s |
| Drying | 100 °C for 4–8 hours |
| Humidity during printing and storage | less than 15 % RH |
| Recommended nozzle | hardened steel or bimetal, 0,4–0,8 mm |
Carbon fibers are abrasive, so do not use a standard brass or copper-plated nozzle. A nozzle made of hardened steel, bimetal, or another wear-resistant material is recommended. A nozzle with a diameter of 0,2 mm is not compatible.
Although PET-CF has low moisture absorption, damp filament can cause bubbles, material oozing, and a rough surface. Dry it before use and keep it in an enclosed dry box with relative humidity below 15 % during printing.
For reliable adhesion, use PEI, HF, or a smooth print plate together with a suitable adhesive or adhesion spray.
