Flexible filament for durable functional parts

Prusament TPU 95A Urban Grey is a high-quality flexible filament designed for producing flexible, tough, and mechanically durable components. It remains soft and pliable in thin walls, while thicker parts with higher infill gain significant strength and durability.

With a hardness of Shore 95A, it offers a practical balance between flexibility and ease of printing. It is suitable for handles, protective covers, bumpers, gaskets, wheels, tires, cable protectors, or sports equipment components, for example.

Precise and reliable Prusament

For flexible filaments, a consistent diameter is essential for smooth material feeding. Prusament TPU 95A has a diameter of 1,75 mm with a maximum tolerance of ±0,06 mm, which helps reduce issues with irregular extrusion, filament tangling in the feed mechanism, and nozzle clogging.

The material is optimized for reliable printing with minimal stringing and, compared to standard TPU filaments, handles overhangs and bridges very well. It offers the easiest printing on printers equipped with a Nextruder extruder, but it can also be used on other suitably configured FDM/FFF printers.

Resistance in demanding conditions

Prusament TPU 95A excels with extreme wear resistance, high impact toughness, and good chemical resistance, especially against oils and lubricants. It retains its elasticity and durability even at temperatures down to around −50 °C.

The ether-diol-based polymer has very low moisture absorption and high resistance to hydrolysis and microbial degradation. Its HDT temperature resistance reaches 78,6 °C at a load of 1,80 MPa.

NFC spool with OpenPrintTag

The spool is equipped with a rewritable NFC tag based on the open OpenPrintTag standard. The tag contains basic material information, works without the need for a cloud connection, and can be read by a compatible device, for example through the Prusa mobile app.

Recommended print settings

When printing on a smooth PEI sheet, a release layer, such as glue stick, must be used. Without it, TPU may adhere to the surface so strongly that the sheet could be damaged when removing the model.

Storage and drying

Under normal conditions, drying is usually not necessary. If the filament has been stored in a humid environment or bubbles or increased stringing occur during printing, it is recommended to dry it for at least 4 hours at 60 °C. For long-term preservation of quality, storage in a dry, sealable box is recommended.
