How to use the Color Kit

1. Determining the required amount of resin
   • After slicing the model, find the required volume or weight of resin in PrusaSlicer (including the base and supports).
   • Add a reserve so that the bottom of the printer tank is still covered – for the Original Prusa SL1S SPEED printer, approx. +30 ml extra is recommended.
2. Selecting a formula
   • Choose the desired color from the Color Kit Sample Book or use your own CMYBW ratios.
   • For a more precise shade, use the included calculator on the manufacturer's product page or a standard calculator.
3. Mixing the resin
   • Using syringes and pipettes, measure the individual colors according to the chosen ratio.
   • Mix the resin in the included cups or pour it into a dark bottle for thorough mixing and potential storage.
   • Allow any bubbles to degas before printing.
4. Safety recommendations
   • Always use nitrile gloves when working, prevent contact with skin and eyes.
   • Work in a well-ventilated area, do not inhale vapors.
   • Dispose of uncured resin and contaminated material according to local regulations.

Tips for achieving the best results

• For precise shades, it is better to mix larger volumes (measurement error is relatively smaller).
• Black is very strongly opaque – add it in small steps, it easily overpowers color.
• White and black not only lighten/darken but also reduce saturation (pastel, earthy tones).
• If the resin is thicker, mixing can be facilitated by slight preheating to approx. 30–40 °C (e.g., using a post-processing device).
