Flexible resin for durable and detailed prints

Prusament Resin Flex80 Black is a high-quality flexible photopolymer resin designed for SLA and MSLA 3D printers operating at a wavelength of 370–410 nm. The material is optimized for 405nm printers and combines softness, flexibility, and mechanical durability with the precision of resin 3D printing.

After proper curing, prints achieve a hardness of approximately 70–80 Shore A. Its properties resemble those of a car tire, firmer rubber, or a rubber sole. The material can absorb impacts and gradually return to its original shape after deformation.

    Why choose Prusament Resin Flex80?

    • Rubber-like flexible surface while maintaining good strength
    • High level of detail suitable even for complex models
    • Good ability to absorb impacts and vibrations
    • Low viscosity without the need for preheating
    • Less pronounced odor than many common flexible resins
    • Easy washing of prints using isopropyl alcohol (IPA)
    • Short exposure times on compatible MSLA printers
    • Bisphenol A-free formulation

    Recommended use

Flex80 Black is suitable wherever standard rigid resins do not provide sufficient flexibility or impact resistance. It is particularly useful for producing:

    • tires and other components for RC models,
    • flexible functional parts and covers,
    • seals, stops, and damping elements,
    • durable figurines and hobby models,
    • ergonomic and design prototypes,
    • organic structures and educational models,
    • detailed parts with a soft surface.

    Printing and post-processing

For optimal results, we recommend using the prepared profile in PrusaSlicer. On the Original Prusa SL1S SPEED, an exposure of approximately 3 seconds per layer is recommended at a layer height of 0,05 mm, while approximately 10 seconds is recommended on the Original Prusa SL1. Always adjust the specific values to the printer, display, and resin condition used.

Flexible models require stable supports. The manufacturer recommends increased support density and a support tip penetration of approximately 0,6 mm. After printing, wash the model in IPA and then cure it thoroughly. The material's mechanical properties gradually increase during subsequent UV curing.

    Safe handling

Uncured resin may irritate the skin and eyes or cause an allergic reaction. Always use protective gloves and eye protection when handling it, ensure good ventilation, and prevent the material from entering the environment. Dispose of liquid resin residues as hazardous chemical waste.
