Prusa CORE One+ (Gen 2) INDX 8-Tool combines the precision and reliability of the enclosed CORE One+ printer with the fast INDX toolchanger developed in cooperation with Bondtech. Eight individual tools allow you to combine different colors, materials, and nozzle diameters within a single project – without time-consuming filament retraction and large purge towers.
This variant is supplied fully assembled, calibrated, and factory-tested. After unpacking and basic setup, you can start your first print within just a few minutes.
Each filament has its own dedicated path and separate passive tool. The active print head automatically picks up the selected tool and heats the steel nozzle using an induction coil within a few seconds.
INDX is not intended only for colorful decorations. Separate tools open the way to functional multimaterial printing. In a single model, you can combine rigid structural parts with flexible elements, use easily removable or soluble supports, and switch between different nozzle diameters as needed.
A typical example is a rigid cover with an integrated TPU seal, a tool with a soft handle, or a complex model printed with BVOH supports.
The robust steel frame and CoreXY kinematics provide high stability even during rapid print head movement. The actively temperature-controlled enclosed chamber reaches up to 55 °C, helping to reduce warping when printing engineering materials such as ASA, polycarbonate, or nylon.
Automatically controlled ventilation also enables convenient printing of low-temperature filaments, including PLA. The maximum build volume is 250 × 220 × 270 mm, giving the printer enough space for prototypes, functional parts, and small production runs.
The second generation of CORE One+ introduces several design modifications focused on better print surfaces, faster print startup, and easier maintenance:
The Loadcell sensor measures pressure directly through the tip of the nozzle in use. The printer can therefore precisely detect the position of the build plate and automatically prepare a consistent first layer even when switching between individual tools.
The toolchanger also uses fast tool-offset calibration, ensuring precise alignment of colors and materials within a single model.
The system includes eight 0,4mm high-flow nozzles made of nitrocarburized steel with a hardened surface. They are suitable, for example, for:
The supplied nozzles are not intended for long-term printing with highly abrasive composites. For frequent processing of carbon- or glass-fiber-filled materials, we recommend selecting suitable wear-resistant nozzles.
You can transfer print jobs via USB or a local network. The optional Prusa Connect services and Prusa app enable remote management and print monitoring, but an internet connection is not required to operate the printer. Model preparation is handled by the free PrusaSlicer with profiles for a wide range of materials.
