Assembled enclosed CoreXY 3D printer with four independent Bondtech INDX tools. It offers fast multicolor and multimaterial printing with minimal waste, an actively controlled chamber up to 55 °C, and a build volume of 248 × 205 × 270 mm. Prepared docking positions enable future expansion to up to 8 tools.
Prusa CORE One+ (Gen 2) INDX 4-Tool combines the robust enclosed construction of the CORE One+ printer with the exceptionally fast Bondtech INDX tool-changing system. Four independent tools allow you to combine colors, materials, and different nozzle diameters within a single project – without lengthy filament loading into a shared nozzle and without bulky purge towers.
The assembled version is tested, calibrated, and ready for quick commissioning straight from the factory. Simply attach the transport accessories, insert the filaments, and complete the initial setup wizard.
INDX uses a separate nozzle for each loaded filament. When changing color or material, the printer simply parks the tool in use and picks up the next one. The change takes approximately 12 seconds and produces only a minimal amount of waste of around 0.013 g.
This design provides several key advantages:
The moving INDX head contains an induction coil that heats the nozzle within a few seconds after picking up a tool. Parked tools, on the other hand, cool down quickly, preventing dripping and preserving the quality of multicolor models.
The system also includes automatic calibration of the position of individual tools, an advanced nozzle cleaner, and a Dynamic Dual Drive extrusion mechanism that automatically adjusts the pressure applied to the fed material.
The all-metal exoskeleton and CoreXY kinematics with linear guides provide high rigidity, precision, and stability. The actively temperature-controlled print chamber reaches up to 55 °C, helping to reduce warping in larger models made from ASA, polycarbonate, or nylon.
When printing PLA and other low-temperature filaments, automatically controlled chamber ventilation maintains suitable conditions. The maximum bed temperature of 120 °C and nozzle temperature of 300 °C cover a wide range of standard and technical materials.
The latest generation of CORE One+ introduces practical design improvements focused on surface quality, faster print preparation, and easier maintenance:
The Load Cell sensor measures pressure directly at the nozzle tip, allowing the printer to automatically check the print surface and precisely set the first layer. Manual bed leveling or mechanical nozzle-distance adjustment is not required.
The printer can be controlled using the 3.5-inch touchscreen LCD, a USB drive, the Prusa app, or the Prusa Connect service. Free PrusaSlicer software is available for preparing advanced multicolor and multimaterial projects. Simpler models can also be prepared using the EasyPrint web tool.
The printer can also operate completely offline, making it suitable for companies, development workplaces, schools, and facilities with increased data protection requirements.
Prusa CORE One+ INDX supports filaments from any brand without mandatory chips. It is suitable, for example, for:
The supplied high-flow nozzles are made of surface-hardened nitrocarburized steel. They can handle limited amounts of composite filaments, but are not intended for prolonged intensive printing with highly abrasive materials.
The camera and advanced filtration are not standard components of this configuration and can be added separately.
