Professional Lab PLA Glamour (glamorous) 1 kg is a special
silky glossy PLA filament designed for FDM/FFF 3D printers. It is based on the proven Professional Lab PLA range, but thanks to a modified formulation with “silk” additives, it creates an
extremely glossy, glamorous surface reminiscent of a metallic or satin effect.
The filament is wound onto a
1 kg plastic spool with a standard diameter of
1,75 mm and precise diameter tolerance, making it suitable for the vast majority of desktop 3D printers (Prusa, Creality, Ender, Anycubic, Bambu Lab, Artillery, etc.). Thanks to its
low shrinkage, very good interlayer adhesion, and easy parameter setup, it is ideal for both beginners and advanced users who want to achieve a premium appearance without complicated tuning.
Warning: Like other silk PLA materials, this material has lower mechanical resistance than conventional technical PLA. It is therefore intended primarily for decorative and design parts, rather than highly stressed functional components.

Recommended use

Printing recommendations
The values below serve as starting settings – it is always advisable to perform a
temperature test for the specific printer.
- Filament diameter: 1,75 mm
- Material: PLA (silk / glamour finish)
- Recommended nozzle temperature: 190–220 °C
– start at around 200–205 °C and adjust according to appearance and bridging.
- Bed temperature: 40–60 °C
– smaller parts can also be printed without heating or at approx. 50 °C.
- Recommended printing speed: 30–70 mm/s
– for the best surface: 30–50 mm/s for perimeters.
- Cooling fan: 80–100% (for outer walls, use rather lower speed changes to prevent differences in gloss).
Tips for a perfect gloss
- Maintain a stable speed for outer perimeters (avoid sudden speed changes, as they may cause different reflections).
- For aesthetic parts with a fine surface, choose a higher number of perimeters (3–4) and a lower layer height (0,12–0,2 mm).
- Ensure high-quality bed adhesion (PEI, textured PEI, glass with adhesive/3DLAC, etc.).
