Prof. Lab Resin ABS-like, white
Prof. Lab Resin ABS-like in white is a universal photosensitive resin designed for desktop SLA/DLP/LCD 3D printers. Its mechanical properties are similar to classic ABS – it is
tougher and less brittle than standard resin and better withstands impacts and bending. At the same time, it offers
very fine details and a smooth white surface, which is ideal for further surface finishing (sanding, filling, painting).
Main advantages
- ABS‑like properties – higher toughness, better impact resistance, lower brittleness
- High print resolution – sharp edges, fine details, smooth surface
- White color – perfect for visual models, design prototypes, figurines, and parts intended for painting
- Balanced hardness and flexibility – suitable for technical and functional parts
- Low shrinkage – good dimensional accuracy and print stability
- Compatibility – usable in most common LCD/DLP/SLA printers with UV 405 nm
Typical applications
- functional prototypes and technical parts
- covers, holders, assembly jigs
- figurines, statues, and models with a high level of detail
- design and architectural models
- parts that require a combination of strength and a fine surface
Recommended printing parameters*
*Specific settings may vary depending on the printer type, display/UV source power, and layer height.
- Light type: UV LED 405 nm
- Layer height: 0,025–0,05 mm
- Normal layer exposure: approximately 2–3 s (LCD printers) / 4–8 s (DLP/SLA)
- Bottom layer exposure: 25–40 s (3–6 bottom layers)
- Ambient printing temperature: 20–28 °C
Recommended curing and post-processing
- Draining and rough cleaning – after printing, allow the model to drain, or dry it with a spatula.
- Washing in IPA / cleaning fluid – 2× short baths in isopropyl alcohol (or a dedicated resin cleaner) to remove residual uncured resin.
- Additional exposure (UV curing) – 3–10 minutes in a UV chamber (405 nm), depending on the size and thickness of the part; rotate the model for even curing.
- Surface finishing – after complete curing, the model can be sanded, filled, sprayed with primer, and painted with acrylic or other suitable paints.
Safety and storage
- work in a well-ventilated area and use gloves and eye protection
- avoid contact with skin and eyes; in case of contact, rinse with water and soap
- store in a dark and cool place (approx. 15–25 °C); always keep the bottle tightly closed
- protect from direct sunlight and sources of UV radiation
- dispose of cured waste as mixed municipal waste and uncured resin as hazardous waste in accordance with local regulations
