    Detailed Description

    Construction and CoreXY Kinematics

Voron 2.4 R2 utilizes CoreXY kinematics with a moving gantry design. X/Y motors are located in the frame, reducing moving mass and allowing:
    • significantly higher speeds and accelerations than traditional i3/Ender designs,
    • lower vibrations and ghosting on the model surface,
    • very precise and repeatable positioning even during long-term operation.
The rigid aluminum frame complemented by high-quality linear guides and precision parts ensures stable machine geometry, making the machine suitable for fast printing of technical materials (e.g., PETG, ABS/ASA, PA) with high accuracy requirements.

    StealthBurner and Extruder System

The R2‑SB variant is designed for the iconic StealthBurner toolhead, which combines the extruder and hotend into one compact unit:
    • larger part‑cooling fan for stable cooling even at high speeds,
    • integrated RGB LEDs for status signaling and impressive looks,
    • support for various extruders – standard Clockwork2 (CW2), easy upgrade to LGX Lite, Orbiter, etc.,
    • possibility to transition from Bowden configuration to Direct Drive when fitted with a suitable hotend (e.g., Dragon, Revo™ Voron).
This combination ensures a reliable filament feeder and excellent extrusion control, which is essential for flexible materials and very high-speed printing.

    Electronics and Control

The heart of the printer is the BTT Octopus v1.1 – a modern 32-bit board with plenty of power headroom and expandability. It offers enough connectors for:
    • multiple stepper motors and Z-axis control,
    • additional sensors (e.g., height sensors, door‑switch, current sensors),
    • other future upgrades (input shaper, auto‑bed leveling, chamber, etc.).
For safe switching of the heated bed, the kit includes a Panasonic AQA211VL SSR (15 A / 250 V). This ensures stable heating even for larger and more powerful heatbeds.
Note: The kit does not include Raspberry Pi, which is recommended for running Klipper/Fluidd/Mainsail and remote management.

    Mechanical Components and Hardware

In the package, you will find complete mechanical hardware for assembling the Voron 2.4 R2 in 350 mm size:
    • profiled aluminum frame including connecting material,
    • linear guides and bearings for X/Y/Z axes,
    • GT2 belts, pulleys, and idlers for CoreXY drive,
    • screws, T‑nuts, couplers, and other standard elements,
    • complete wiring and connectors ready for connection.
Printed parts (plastic components according to Voron Design) are not part of the kit – the user either prints them on an existing printer or orders them from a specialized supplier.

Who is the kit suitable for

    This kit is ideal for:
    • advanced users and makers who want to understand the details of mechanics and electronics by building the printer,
    • fablabs, schools, and technical clubs where the goal is not just printing, but also education in the field of 3D printer construction,
    • users who want a fast, quiet, and highly reliable CoreXY machine, adaptable to future needs.
Conversely, the kit is not suitable for those looking for an immediately ready "out of the box" printer – it is a construction set where time for assembly, calibration, and tuning must be expected.

    Main Advantages

    • Large build volume 350 × 350 × 350 mm.
    • Top-tier CoreXY kinematics and robust frame.
    • StealthBurner support – excellent cooling, RGB, flexible extruder options.
    • Quality electronics (BTT Octopus v1.1, Panasonic SSR).
    • Proven open‑source project Voron 2.4 R2 with massive community support.
    • Modularity and upgrade‑friendly design.

Limitations and what needs to be added

    • Printed parts are not included – must be printed or purchased separately.
    • Raspberry Pi is not in the package – recommended for running Klipper.
    • Requires time and experience with building and tuning 3D printers.
