Would you like to remove supports from PLA prints more easily and achieve cleaner contact surfaces? Bambu Lab Support for PLA creates a separation layer between the support and the model. After printing, it can be peeled off by hand, so post-processing requires less work.

What the material is used for

This filament is intended only for support contact layers. In Bambu Studio, set it as Support/raft interface. The printer then uses it only between the actual support and the model, which limits its consumption. The material is not intended for printing standalone models or the entire support structure.

    Why use it

    • Easier support removal. The contact layer can be peeled off by hand after printing.
    • Cleaner bottom surfaces. The smooth interface helps preserve details on overhangs and bridges.
    • Automatic recognition. The RFID contains printing parameters that are read by the AMS system.

    Basic information

    • Filament diameter: 1.75 mm
    • Filament weight: 0.5 kg
    • Spool: standard reusable Bambu Lab spool
    • Feeding compatibility: AMS and AMS lite

    Manufacturer's recommended settings

    • Nozzle temperature: 220-230 °C
    • Bed temperature with adhesive: 35-45 °C
    • Print speed: less than 200 mm/s
    • Hot-air drying: 55 °C for 8 hours

For the contact layer, the manufacturer recommends zero top interface spacing and zero Z distance in Bambu Studio. Use the filament only as a support interface for PLA models.
