The original
Bambu Lab Filament Buffer – P2S is a specially designed filament buffer for the
Bambu Lab P2S 3D printer, which is necessary for the correct connection of the printer with the
AMS / AMS 2 Pro unit. It regulates the movement of the filament and creates a reserve (loops) between the AMS and the printer so that the supply of filament to the hotend is smooth and stable even during high-speed printing and frequent color changes.
Note: The standalone P2S printer without AMS does not include the buffer – this part must be purchased separately for AMS use.

The newer generation
Bambu Lab P2S printer has modified mechanics and filament routing compared to older models (P1S/X1). For full AMS system functionality, this
special P2S filament buffer is therefore required, which:

- is optimized for the new routing of PTFE tubes,
- ensures correct operation of the tension and filament feed sensors.
Without this buffer, AMS on the P2S:
- cannot be correctly connected,
