Designed for A1 and A1 mini. Bambu Lab CyberBrick Time Lapse Hardware Kit – ZK005 is a hardware kit designed specifically for Bambu Lab 3D printers. It allows you to automatically take photos during printing and turn them into professional-looking time-lapse videos. After receiving a command from the printer, the kit triggers the camera – allowing you to precisely capture every step of your model’s construction. Thanks to multiple triggering methods, the kit is suitable for both smartphones and mirrorless/DSLR cameras and other cameras.
Warning: 3D-printed case and holder parts shown in the product photos are not included. They can be downloaded and printed according to the official 3D models from Bambu Lab.

    Main advantages

    • Official Bambu Lab accessory – maximum compatibility with the CyberBrick ecosystem and Bambu Lab printers.
    • Multiple shutter triggering methods
      • Bluetooth trigger (mobile phone, selected cameras)
      • cable trigger via 2.5 mm jack
      • mechanical trigger using a servo motor (simulates pressing the camera button)
    • Automatic triggering from the printer – the printer sends a command at defined moments (e.g. after each layer), and the kit triggers the shot.
    • Support for multiple devices at once – can simultaneously control up to 4 devices (e.g. phone + camera via cable + camera via servo + another device via Bluetooth).
    • Preloaded firmware – the Multi‑Function Core Board comes with the necessary firmware, just assemble, connect to the printer and pair with the camera.
    • Wide Bluetooth compatibility – support for modern phones (Android, iOS, HarmonyOS) and selected Sony, Canon, Nikon cameras.
    • Open 3D models and documentation – official models of the case and mounts, guides and wiki for easy assembly and setup.

    Functions and use

    How it works

    1. Assemble the kit – insert the Multi‑Function Core Board into the Time‑lapse Trigger Shield board.
    2. Connect to the printer – connect the shield to the printer via the Bambu Bus cable (4-pin or 6-pin depending on the printer / AMS type).
    3. Pair with the camera – according to the official Bambu Lab manual, pair the device via Bluetooth, or connect a cable trigger or servo to the camera.
    4. Set up timelapse in Bambu Studio / on the printer – enable time-lapse mode (e.g. “Smooth timelapse”).
    5. Automatic shooting – during printing, the printer sends commands, the kit triggers the camera, and you can easily compile the photos into a video.

    Typical use cases

    • creation of product videos from 3D printing (for e-shops, customer presentations),
    • marketing and social media – attractive videos for YouTube, Instagram, TikTok,
    • development documentation and print tuning (monitoring problematic areas layer by layer),
    • educational and demonstration purposes in labs, schools and clubs.

    Compatibility

    Bambu Lab printers

The kit is designed for use within the Bambu Lab / CyberBrick ecosystem (A1, P1, X1, H2 and CyberBrick projects). The specific wiring (4-pin / 6-pin cable, with/without AMS) depends on the printer type and the extension board used.

    Bluetooth devices

    • Mobile phones
      • Android: Android 12 and newer
      • iOS: iOS 16 and newer
      • HarmonyOS: HarmonyOS 4.2.0 and newer
