Revopoint MetroY Pro: Precise 3D Scanning for Technical Projects

Transform real-world objects into digital form. The Revopoint MetroY Pro 3D scanner combines a multi-line blue laser with structured light and supports both handheld and desktop scanning. It is designed for small to medium-sized components where you need to capture geometry, fine details, or difficult-to-access areas. (revopoint3d.com)

Five Modes for Different Object Shapes and Complexities

    • 34 cross laser lines for fast surface scanning.
    • 15 parallel laser lines for capturing fine details.
    • A single laser line for deep holes, grooves, and narrow areas.
    • Full-field structured light for handheld scanning.
    • Automatic mode with a two-axis turntable for desktop object digitization. (revopoint3d.com)

    Accuracy for Reverse Engineering

MetroY Pro achieves single-frame accuracy of up to 0.02 mm and repeatability of up to 0.01 mm. Volumetric accuracy is 0.02 mm + 0.04 mm × L, where L represents the object length in meters. The minimum point spacing after merging is 0.05 mm. These parameters are useful when digitizing parts, preparing data for CAD, and performing dimensional inspection. The stated values represent the best achievable results under appropriate measurement conditions. (revopoint3d.com)

Fast Data Capture and Transfer via Wi-Fi 6

Laser scanning reaches speeds of up to 2 million points per second, while structured light reaches up to 7 million points per second. Wi-Fi 6 or USB-C connectivity enables data transfer to a computer, which handles data processing. The scanner does not have a built-in battery and requires an external power supply. From Scanned Part to Further Processing

The Revo Metro software is used to capture point clouds, perform subsequent editing, and align multiple scans. Export to STL, OBJ, PLY, and other formats facilitates further work with the model. Color textures can be captured in the automatic turntable mode using a 2MP RGB camera. (revopoint3d.com)

    What to Know Before Scanning

The scanner operates at a distance of 200–400 mm and is intended for indoor use. Laser modes use tracking markers; tracking based on geometric features is also available. Transparent and mirror surfaces require scanning spray. The manufacturer does not recommend scanning faces due to the risk of direct laser exposure to the eyes. (revopoint3d.com)
