With it, you can easily measure the resonance frequency of each axis and recalibrate the Input Shaper to optimal values, ensuring your modified 3D printer operates with maximum efficiency.

Prusa printers come from the factory with preset, optimized Input Shaper values that have been thoroughly tested on many machines. Therefore, on a standard printer with factory settings you won’t need additional tuning, as any improvement after recalibration would be minimal.

However, certain modifications, such as a Nextruder upgrade, can affect the printer’s structure enough that the original Input Shaper values no longer apply. In that case, you can easily use our accelerometer for a fresh calibration. Simply connect it to the xBuddy board using the connector on the back of the MK4S 3D printer, attach it to the print head and heated bed, and perform a full Input Shaper recalibration.

Although this tool is intended primarily for modders and developers, installing and using the accelerometer is very straightforward.
